For Delegates
The details you need for a wonderful inauguration experience.
Regalia: Please provide your own academic regalia and bring regalia with you to the line-up and the ceremony.
Parking: Spaces will be reserved for delegates in the Park Avenue Garage, (located at 151 Park Avenue or 151 Salisbury Street, Worcester, MA 01609). Handicap parking is available in the garage with elevators to the upper level of the WPI Sports & Recreation Center.
Check-in by 9 a.m.: Please check in at the Rubin Campus Center, Odeum Lobby (top floor). Staff will be on hand to direct you from the parking garage. At check-in, you will be given a delegate packet and a number indicating your order in the processional.
Robing: You will be directed to the robing area in the Rubin Campus Center. We will provide a safe and secure/monitored area where you may leave your personal belongings during the Ceremony. The Recessional will end at this location.
Processional line-up at 9:30 a.m.: Please be ready by 9:30 a.m. to take your place in line in the Main Lobby of the Rubin Campus Center. Staff will direct you to the line-up area and assist in positioning you in the correct order.
Processional: The processional will begin at approximately 9:45 a.m. and proceed from the Campus Center to the Quad area, past the Goat (mascot) statue, and into the Sports & Recreation Center (weather permitting). If inclement weather, line-up will occur in the adjacent Harrington Auditorium, and the processional and recessional will be fully indoors.
Recessional: The recessional will depart the Sports and Recreation Center and proceed onto the Quad, past the Goat statue, and back to the Rubin Campus Center for the luncheon.
Luncheon: All delegates are invited to join us for a campus-wide luncheon directly following the installation ceremony. The delegates’ luncheon will be in the Rubin Campus Center Odeum, on the same floor where the recessional ends.
